Control-system modernization of a 250 t Radaelli press
Task
Modernize the control system and electrical installation of a press operating with an uncoiler, with particular attention to safety functions.
Solvix scope
Electrical design and a fail-safe control system based on Siemens SIMATIC ET 200SP, replacement of press wiring and devices, and replacement of the cam system with a safety encoder.

Siemens SIMATIC ET 200SP fail-safe, a TR Electronic safety encoder and a new press electrical installation.
Result
The 1980s press received a new control system and functions enabling operation with a sheet-metal feeder. The modernized safety system was adapted to current European requirements, while the HMI provides ongoing production monitoring.
